Great article! These comodo products are great! I especially appreciate the active file protection with the comodo antivirus… This is usually a pay-for feature…

    I think you’ve forgot about NOD32 from www.eset.com
I think it’s one of best , yes it’s not free but you can easily use unlimited free trial with NODFIX utility

I’d add avast! home edition antivirus too. To my mind, avast has the most user-friendly interface out of all free antivirus programs I know of, and its updates come absolutely silent. Some PC users insist that it has a poor detection rate, but AV comparatives lists avast! over Norton, so there must be a sound reason behind that. Since version 4.8 avast! claims to have anti-spyware protection included as well. I personally know a home user who switched from ESET (paid) to avast! (free), and not because NOD’s subscription expired.

I personally use CCleaner to delete my browser history, trash, cookies, etc. Since I can do it with just one click, I’m doing it everyday to keep my computer run smoothly. It’s been very effective for me so far.

I haven’t used Comodo AntiVirus FREE but I’ll give it a try. I’ll get back with my experience with it.

I have some of the Antivirus on my PC but some did not work fine to some PC virus. Great article I must say and I can use all of this tips on for my own protection.

I wish I’d seen this post before paying for Norton anti-virus. Do you really think the free ones are as good as paid? This is not an area to try to save a buck – it’s too important! Anyone else have experiences good or bad with free antivirus services? Thank you, Tammara Acerra

Great tips. I will automatically download and install Virus Protect. When VirusProtect has finished downloading and is installed, it will automatically launch and start a scan of your computer. This scan will provide exaggerated or false results and state that the only way to clean these “infections” is to purchase the commercial version of the software. Thanks for sharing a useful information.

Thank you for sharing this anti-virus. I use CCleaner to protect my computer. I think you forgot the Avast anti-virus? That is one of the powerful protector nowadays.

I heard a lot of good reviews about Comodo AntiVirus so I think I’m going to try it out. I’ve been using Spybot to protect my computer from spyware and adware and it has been very effective. I also like CCleaner for keeping my computer clean and run smoothly.

I never thought about using anything like CCleaner, I thought it might be a scam. After reading this post and positive comments I guess I’ll give it a try. Sometimes my computer is so slow I could almost go make a sandwich waiting for it to load!

  • Charles said:

CCleaner is the best. I have not tried out the Windows 7 version yet as I’ve just purchased my first new computer in a couple years. But If it works as well as the XP version, everything will be fine. The first time I ran it on an old XP laptop, I couldn’t believe the speed increase. By the way, I believe the first “C” in CCleaner stands for “crap”. Just a bit of useless trivia. :)

    @Charles

CCleaner isn’t the best, it’s the GREATEST. Geeky confession: I love installing CCleaner on a computer for the first time ever and watching it delete nearly 1GB of data, haha.

such tips of cleaning are good to follow up as most computers tend to have those antiviruses, look forward to trying one excellent blog.

I still cannot believe just how many people ignore the need to have a good antivirus program. Just because it slows down things for a second or two, they leave their computer defenseless.

Excellently constructed post, only when all writers supplied the same articles as you, the net might be a greater area.

  • Sanford Emberling said:

Outstandingly constructed write-up, if only all writers offered a similar material just like you, the web will be a more effective destination.
