I’ve actually been impressed with link brokers. Perhaps because I have a site that generates a welcome income from a paid link via them!

I just read this post and while it’s not new, it is more relevant than ever. After the Google “Panda” updates, link brokers will be under more scrutiny than ever. You were ahead of your time .

Good points! I was a member of Text Link Ads in the past and had their links on my blog.Google didn´t like it and I lost my PR.So, a better option would be to sell the links your self or monetize your blog with adsense.I don´t know much about adwords or PPC advertising, so I would probably lose my money getting into that.

Interesting article, as I am planning to add some advertising to my Blog.
Most reviews I’ve read are all positive – probably written by Affiliates of the firms.
However, this begs the question: how can a smaller site make some money from running advertising ?
I would be interested in your comments on this.
